ABOUT US

Afriwest Sasu Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goals. one – six (1-6) to improve the lives of individuals who are denied their fundamental human rights. We also strive to improve social infrastructure in the areas of education, health, water, and sanitation to foster sustainable development.

We acknowledge that many individuals in our communities endure unimaginable ordeals that hinder their ability to pursue their dreams and aspirations. A significant number of people find themselves in situations of acute vulnerability, often manifesting as homelessness, food insecurity, or a lack of access to essential resources and support systems. Systemic injustices and oppressive conditions curtail individuals’ ambitions and restrict their access to fundamental rights, such as education, food, and fair employment opportunities. Young individuals who experience early pregnancies often face setbacks in their education and are subjected to social stigma. The tragic loss of parents due to accidents or illness carries profound emotional and financial ramifications. Orphans and those without family support require assistance in effectively navigating life’s challenges.

Our unwavering commitment is to address these intricate and interconnected barriers through targeted programmes and support systems. we are passionate to empower individuals grappling with such challenges, equipping them with the necessary tools and opportunities to lead fulfilling lives and break free from the cycle of adversity. We believe in achieving this by supporting marginalized individuals in acquiring practical skills that can lead to gainful employment, pursuing their academic dreams, and establishing sustainable businesses to make them self-sufficient to make a living and contribute positively to their societies. To alleviate hunger, we provide food to the homeless population in our community. We hope to operate a daily food distribution van.

Afriwest Sasu Foundation also recognizes that access to education, health, water, and sanitation is critical for sustainable development. Therefore, we work tirelessly to renovate and improve social structures in these sectors and promote sustainable development in the communities we serve. Many social structures that were built in the sectors of education, health, water, and sanitation are currently deteriorating. Since the establishment of our nation, Ghana has struggled with a maintenance culture. We lament the state of despair of numerous structures built with grants in the country. Maintenance and rehabilitation of social facilities, therefore, ignite the growth and development of our nation. We intervene by repairing these social facilities and handing them over to the communities for renewed use.
